Jorge Masvidal has warned Conor McGregor that he’d break his face if the two ever share the Octagon.
Masvidal is riding a three-fight losing streak, with his most recent defeat coming at the hands of Colby Covington at UFC 272. ‘Gamebred’ is currently dealing with legal issues pertaining to his assault on ‘Chaos’ a few days after their bout, and isn’t sure what his next UFC matchup will be. He isn’t short of options however as Gilbert Burns and Michel Pereira are more than willing to throw hands with him. The BMF champion has also been linked to a fight against McGregor.
With the Irishman planning to make a move up to welterweight, a clash between the two is possible, although Masvidal thinks the likelihood of the former two division champ agreeing to fight him is low.
Jorge Masvidal On Conor McGregor
Speaking to ESPN Deportes (as translated by MMA Junkie), Masvidal said that he doesn’t believe McGregor would want to fight him because he knows he’d get beat up.
“He is false. He knows that I am a man who hits hard and that I come to kill. I do not come to hug in the cage,” Masvidal said. “I am going to give everything inside me to kill him. I have a little size, although now he’s shooting up and putting steroids and all kinds of things (in his body), but he is still a little boy. I would love to fight at 170 pounds, but I don’t wait for anyone. If he wants to do it, I’ll break his face. If he doesn’t want to do it, let someone come next.”
McGregor fired back at Masvidal by calling him “stupid beyond belief” in a tweet that was later deleted.
