Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier are at it again. The Irishman most recently fought his arch-rival in their trilogy at UFC 264, where he lost by a doctor’s stoppage after breaking his tibia.

In their first meeting at UFC 178 in 2014, ‘The Notorious’ finished Poirier in the first round, before ‘The Diamond’ exacted his revenge at UFC 257 by second round KO. In his UFC 264 post-fight interview, McGregor said that their rivalry was not over and they would fight again once he’s fully healed.

McGregor has exchanged heated words online with Daniel Cormier, Michael Bisping and Nate Diaz in the past few weeks. He’s now turned his guns towards Poirier, who is likely to face UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira next, but isn’t ruling out the possibility of a fourth fight with the former UFC two-division champion.

Commenting on a video clip of Poirier, where he was telling a story about a brawl he was involved in some years ago, McGregor wrote “Ye sounds about right”.

This prompted Poirier to respond by posting an unflattering picture of McGregor from UFC 257.

McGregor was visibly irritated by Poirier’s attack and responded by taking jabs at him and his wife, Jolie Poirier.

“Ye pal live on that one way back, I will too,” McGregor said. “I bounced your head off the canvas like a basketball. Your wife bro. The dm’s. Elbows into your dome. The soft part of the skull that doesn’t harden ever. From when you’re a baby. Drilled into your skull at 100mph. U slept on my belly.”

Poirier gave a short but subtle reply, presumably reminding McGregor of his record at lightweight.

McGregor responded by implying that he’s billionaire.

The former two division UFC champion returned a few hours later to aim a couple more tweets at Poirier.

Do you think a fourth fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier makes sense?
