UFC 282 went down at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The main event between Jan Blachowicz and Magomed Ankalaev ended in a split draw. Both fighters had their moments. The Dagestani had a good first round, but struggled to deal with the former champ’s technical striking and low kicks in round two and three. Switching to wrestling midway through the fight, however, worked wonders for the Russian as he was able to control the fight on the mat for the final two rounds.
In the co-main event, Paddy Pimblett improved to 4-0 in the UFC with a controversial decision win against Jared Gordon. Elsewhere on the UFC 282 main card, Santiago Ponzinibbio returned to winning ways with a third round TKO win over Alex Morono, Dricus Du Plessis continued his impressive run in the promotion with a third round submission win over Darren Till and Ilia Topuria kept his perfect record intact with a submission win over Bryce Mitchell.
