UFC 269 went down this weekend at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday night. Charles Oliveira once again overcame adversity in the first round to dominate and submit Dustin Poirier in the third round to defend his lightweight crown. ‘Do Bronx’ also improved his winning streak to ten wins in a row. In the co-main event, Julianna Pena pulled off arguably the biggest upset in UFC history by submitting a whopping -900 favourite in Amanda Nunes to win the bantamweight title.
Elsewhere on the UFC 269 main card, Geoff Neal returned to winning ways with a split decision victory against Santiago Ponzinibbio, Kai Kara France ruined Cody Garbrandt’s flyweight debut with a first round TKO, and Sean O’Malley continued to impress with a first round finish of Raulian Paiva.
