Dana White furious Merab Dvalishvili, Aljamain Sterling

Dana White isn’t a fan of Merab Dvalishvili and Aljamain Sterling’s bromance.

The two top UFC bantamweights have been training at the same gym for years, and since they have a deep friendship, they refuse to fight each other in the Octagon.

Merab, in particular, won’t fight for the bantamweight title despite being the number one contender as long as Sterling is in the equation.

Dana White hates that attitude.

“Everybody in this room, and everyone watching this video knows how I feel about this s—t,” Dana responded when asked about Dvalishvili passing up a potential title shot (as transcribed by MMA Mania). “I hate it. Why did you even get into this sport? If that’s your mentality and the way that you think: ‘I don’t want the title, I don’t want the championship, we’re friends, we’re this, we’re that.’

“This is not about friendship. This is about finding out who the best in the world is, and if you don’t want to find out who the best in the world is, this is not the place for you. You should be somewhere else. There are plenty of places to fight where they don’t give a s—t what you do. It doesn’t work here.”

Sterling most recently competed at UFC 292, where he lost his bantamweight title to Sean O’Malley by second-round stoppage.

In a recent tweet, he revealed that he is eyeing a rematch with ‘Suga’ Sean, following which, Dvalishvili said that he will sit around and wait for a title shot if his best friend wants to exact his revenge.
