UFC Vegas 65 went down on Saturday night at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. In the main event, Kennedy Nzechukwu improved to two wins in a row by stopping Ion Cutelaba in the second round. The card was originally scheduled to be headlined by Derrick Lewis vs Serghei Spivak, but the fight was called off at the last moment after the American pulled out due to illness.
In the co-main event, Waldo Cortes-Acosta improved to 9-0 (2-0 UFC) with a unanimous decision win over Chase Sherman. Elsewhere on the UFC Vegas 65 main card, Muslim Salikhov returned to winning ways with a second round TKO win over Andre Fialho, Jack Della Maddalena continued his winning ways in the UFC with a first round TKO win over Danny Roberts and Charles Johnson bounced back into the win column with a split decision win over Zhalgas Zhumagulov.
