UFC 281 went down on Saturday night at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. In the main event, Alex Pereira handed Israel Adesanya yet another loss by stopping him in the fifth round of their middleweight title fight, which the Nigerian-New Zealander was winning up until the finish.
In the co-main event, Zhang Weili outclassed Carla Esparza, submitting her in the second round to become a two-time strawweight champion. Elsewhere on the UFC 281 main card, Dustin Poirier returned to winning ways with a third round submission win over Michael Chandler in what was a barnburner, Chris Gutierrez handed a brutal KO loss to Frankie Edgar in his final UFC fight and Dan Hooker returned to winning ways with a second round TKO win over Claudio Puelles.
