Dana White has taken a subtle jab at Francis Ngannou while reacting to his knockout loss at the hands of Anthony Joshua.

Last week, Ngannou went up against former WBA, IBF, WBO, and IBO heavyweight champ Joshua in a clash of titans, which ended in the second round, with the Cameroonian being knocked out cold.

The former UFC heavyweight’s champion disappointed fans and fighters, who were hoping that the big man would repeat his performance against Tyson Fury, who was pushed to the limit when the two heavyweight titans battled in October last year.

During the UFC 299 post-fight press conference, Dana was questioned about Ngannou’s KO loss and he didn’t have nice things to say about his former employee.

“I mean I saw it on social media,” Dana responded when he was asked whether he watched the fight. “What did I make of it (the finish)? Yea, I mean, going into the Fury fight… If Fury trained for the fight and didn’t show up looking like he ate Tyson Fury, that’s probably the way that fight would have ended too. I mean listen, the crossover, you know how I feel about crossovers in boxing and that’s how they end. Just like that.”

After winning on Friday night, Anthony Joshua has now won his last four fights, beating Otto Wallin, Robert Helenius, and Jermaine Franklin before.

As for Ngannou, he’ll likely be stepping back into the MMA cage for his next fight.
