UFC Vegas 16 went down Saturday night at the APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main event, Marvin Vettori beat Jack Hermansson via unanimous decision, after 25 minutes of non-stop action. The Italian has now won four in a row inside the Octagon, and is expected to move into the top five of the UFC middleweight rankings.
In the evening’s co-main event, Jamahal Hill finished Ovince Saint Preux in the second round to extend his unbeaten record, and earn the biggest win of his career. Elsewhere on the main card, Gabriel Benitez and both won via spectacular first round finishes.
UFC Vegas 16 featured only eight fights, as a result of three fights being scrapped on the day of the fights. Montana De La Rosa vs Taila Santos, and Nate Landwehr vs Movsar Evloev were removed from the card because of positive COVID-19 tests. Jimmy Flick vs Cody Durden was also removed from the card for a non-COVID related medical issue.
