Justin Jaynes says he doesn’t regret betting his entire purse on himself winning against Charles Rosa, who beat him via split-decision this past weekend at UFC Vegas 30.

Rosa was one step ahead throughout their three-round fight, but Jaynes had his moments, especially late in the third round, when he rocked ‘Boston Strong’ with one of his haymakers. Instead of going for the kill, he went for a takedown moments later, much to the surprise of many.

No Regrets

Jaynes left the UFC APEX empty-handed as he wagered his entire purse, which was close to $25,000, on a win. ‘Guitar Hero’ has no regrets, however. In an Instagram post, he said that he would do it again.

Taking to Twitter, Jaynes stated that he was prepared for all outcomes, and losing his UFC Vegas 30 purse didn’t hurt him.

Charles Rosa’s Thoughts

The scorecards for the fight were all over the place, with one judge giving all three rounds to Rosa, a second judge scoring rounds 1 and 3 in Jaynes’ favour, and the third judge giving rounds 1 and 2 to the Massachusetts native, sealing a split-decision victory for him.

After the fight, Rosa gave his thoughts on Jaynes betting his entire purse on him winning, saying that fighting is a risky business.

“Hats off to Justin, much respect to him,” Rosa said. “I heard he bet his entire fight purse on himself… Unfortunately for him, the casino made some money tonight, but this is the price you pay doing this, the risk you take. I’m happy I got the win, I’m happy I got my money and it is what it is.”

Jaynes isn’t worried about his future however, which he joked was still very bright.
