Belal Muhammad and Conor McGregor

Belal Muhammad asserts he won’t allow fighters like Conor McGregor to skip the line if he becomes champion.

The Chicago native hasn’t been in action since his title eliminator against Gilbert Burns in May. During that bout, he impressively went head-to-head with the Brazilian, securing a unanimous decision victory. The win extended his streak to ten consecutive fights without a loss, solidifying his position as a top contender in the UFC welterweight division.

Muhammad now eyes a showdown with the champion, Leon Edwards, whom he battled in a no-contest in 2021.

In a recent podcast episode, Muhammad shared his ambitious goal of becoming a champion. He emphasized his commitment to maintaining a fair line of contenders. If he secures victory against ‘Rocky’, Muhammad envisions his first title defense against Rakhmonov.

“Conor [McGregor] you know, he’s king troll,” Muhammad stated. “He knows that he’s in charge right now, so whatever he says will go, but for a fighter in general, like, you never want to be that heavy. Like if, for me, it’s like, alright, let’s fight at my walk around weight is 190, 185, but it’s like I’m- it’s gonna make me not want to run, it’s gonna make me not want to eat right, so I could just be sloppy, never go into a fight sloppy. Bully doesn’t let nobody skip the line. Shavkat will get next. We’re here to make a legacy, we’re breaking all these dudes.”
