Mark Hunt has seized another opportunity to speak out against his former employer, following Henry Cejudo’s shock retirement at UFC 249.

The heavyweight legend ended his commitments with the UFC in 2018, following three losses and a personal dispute with Dana White over the treatment of his athletes. Hunt has since gone on to become one of the promotion’s biggest critics.

Lawsuits and Losses

The Samoan launched a lawsuit against the UFC and Brock Lesnar, following his loss at UFC 200. The WWE star failed a USADA drug test after the fight but managed to retain his full $2.5 million fight purse. Hunt used this as an opportunity to open up a wider debate around the safety and salaries of fighters and has been consistently intolerant of the company’s practises ever since.

Earlier this year, a judge put the final nail in the coffin of Hunt’s legal escapade, when he dismissed the last of the accusations. The legal loss sent him into an understandable rage.

“I tried to make things even on the battlefield of Mma but again the cheating company @danawhite @ufc with all its billions they ripped everyone off win again someone will die against a steroid using cheater and your shit rip off company will be at fault @ufc I hope all u fuckers burn filthy dog cunnnniesss 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 u can go and get fuuuuuaaaaaarrrkkkkeddd Uwonthisbattlebutthewarwillcontinue #aliactmotherfuckers I am not the first to sue this rip off company and sure as hell wont be the last to sue the @ufc u can’t keep ripping fighters off and run monopoly on the market someone’s going to put u motherfuckers down @danawhite @ufc”

Cejudo Deserves More

Hunt has now turned his attention to the retirement of ‘Triple C’. Speaking to Low Kick MMA, the ‘Super Samoan’ vented his frustrations over Cejudo’s pay and lists this as the primary reason for the two time UFC champion’s seemingly early retirement.

“That’s exactly what I’m talking about and I know this stuff because I was in it,” Hunt said. “I never got the title but if I did I would’ve been exactly like Henry Cejudo and the rest of them – speaking my mind and telling I want more. When you’re a top-end prize-fighter or world champion you don’t need to ask more. If that was a boxing champion do you think they would be asking for more? No! Like I said, they’re not sharing the entire revenue, they (fighters) are only getting a small percentage and that’s totally wrong.

“These fighters should be getting paid accordingly and they’re not and you can see that by guys like a world champion, Triple C, Henry Cejudo saying ‘I need more money.’ Why is that Henry? Is there something wrong? ‘Yeah, because I’m not getting my worth. I’m not getting what I’m supposed to be getting.’”

Hunt ended the conversation with a final jab at Dana White, calling him a d***head.

Do you think Mark Hunt has a point?
