UFC bantamweight champ Sean O’Malley has said that Conor McGregor is jealous of his success.
McGregor took an unnecessary dig at O’Malley after boxer Ryan Garcia’s recent failed drug tests.
Garcia flunked two drug tests following his upset win over Devin Haney, following which McGregor went on social media to slam both the boxing sensation and O’Malley.
McGregor brought up the UFC bantamweight champion’s past drug test slip-ups with ostarine, the substance that put Garcia under the microscope.
“I’m actually disgusted.” McGregor said about Garcia’s failed test, in a since-deleted tweet. “This Ostarine, it reminds me of Sean O’Malley (he) was on that as well. I don’t like this, I’ll bust yous both up. Do yous want a spar I will set flights right now for you both for a full-on spar each. Two little Ostarine heads I’ll ride you both like Ostriches.”
In a recent interview, O’Malley clapped back at his idol and former UFC champ-champ.
“F*** Conor man.” O’Malley said on the TimboSugarShow. “I saw a lot of people being like, ‘damn I bet Suga is sad, Suga always talks nothing but great about Conor’, he just went on a little tweet rant booger sugared up talking s***.
“I was more sad than mad. Now I just cannot wait to see Michael Chandler absolutely sleep him, I’m turning up, I’m changing up real quick, f*** Conor. When your idols turn rivals.”McGregor will make his return to the cage against Michael Chandler at UFC 303 in June, whereas O’Malley will likely defend his bantamweight title against Merab Dvalishvili later this year.
McGregor last fought at UFC 264, where he lost by a doctor’s stoppage after breaking his tibia in the first round.
