Max Holloway wants to prove his doubters wrong

Max Holloway has promised to silence his critics when he battles Justin Gaethje for the BMF belt at UFC 300.

Holloway and Gaethje are set to go head-to-head in what’s expected to be a thrilling showdown at UFC 300, where ‘Blessed’ will make his second appearance in the lightweight division. He made his divisional debut against Dustin Poirier for the interim lightweight title at UFC 236, where Poirier’s power advantage proved to be the difference.

Heading into UFC 300, many fans and professionals believe Holloway will struggle against Gaethje’s power just like he did against Poirier, but the former UFC featherweight champion is gunning to prove everyone wrong.

“Everybody keeps on bringing up the fight with Poirier, the 155 fight,” Holloway said on his YouTube channel. “It is what it is, I said what I said. No excuses. I just had six weeks for that camp. This came, we had 10 or more weeks. I can’t even — I don’t even remember how long we had, that’s how long we had. So, at the end of the day, I feel strong. I feel great. I can’t wait to go out there and prove [it]. You guys want to see the difference? Tune in April 13. You’re gonna see the difference.”

Gaethje last fought at UFC 291, where he knocked Poirier out cold to win the BMF title, whereas Holloway is coming off a knockout loss at the hands of The Korean Zombie.
