UFC Vegas 18 went down on Saturday night at the APEX Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. In the main and co-main events, the legends Alistair Overeem and Frankie Edgar both lost in brutal fashion.

In the main event, Alexander Volkov all but ended Overeem’s last run at UFC gold by finishing him in the second round, after dominating the entire fight. The co-main event saw an early contender for ‘knockout of the year’, as Cory Sandhagen needed only 28 seconds to knock Edgar out cold with a perfectly timed knee.

Elsewhere on the UFC Vegas 18 card, Clay Guida beat Michael Johnson via unanimous decision in a battle of the two veterans, Alexandre Pantoja ruined Manel Kape’s promotional debut by outworking the former RIZIN champion for 15 minutes, Beneil Dariush defeated Diego Ferreira in an entertaining split decision, and Danilo Marques submitted Mike Rodriguez with a slick second round rear naked choke.
