First UFC 249, now UFC 250. The coronavirus pandemic has struck again. After Khabib Nurmagomedov was forced out of his UFC 249 main event against Tony Ferguson on April 18th, Jose Aldo has now been forced out of his UFC 250 headliner against Henry Cejudo.

UFC 250 was scheduled to go down on May 9th in Sao Paulo but as a result of the coronavirus, will now go ahead in the US, at the UFC’s secret location. Thought to be the Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino in Lemoore, California.

Combate in Brazil has reported that Aldo’s work visa has expired and he’s unable to have a new new one issued because the American Embassy is not providing this service during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

As a result, Aldo will no longer be challenging Cejudo for the UFC bantamweight title. Instead, the former champion Cruz, will step in and fight for the belt. It will be ‘The Dominator’s’ first time competing since UFC 207 three and a half years ago, when he lost the title to Cody Garbrandt.

Cruz has taken to social media to announce the fight.

Cejudo hasn’t fought in almost a year, since winning the vacant UFC bantamweight title against Marlon Moraes at UFC 238. Following the fight, ‘Triple C’ underwent an operation on his left shoulder.

In response to Cruz’s tweet, Cejudo told the former champion to ‘keep begging’.

Cejudo’s coach Eric ‘Captain America’ Albarracin, who Cruz mentioned in his tweet, has since tweeted that the fight between ‘Triple C’ and ‘The Dominator’ may not be official yet.

If Dominick Cruz comes in for Jose Aldo at UFC 250, how do you see the fight going with Henry Cejudo?
