Conor McGregor has given his thoughts on former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou’s departure from the UFC.

In a recent interview, Ngannou broke the silence on his UFC exit, saying that although the promotion promised to pay him a good amount of money, they weren’t willing to fulfill the rest of his demands, which included sponsorship rights and health insurance for the UFC roster. The Cameroonian also revealed that he asked for a three-fight contract, which would include two fights against Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic trilogy. The UFC didn’t accept that either.

The disagreement led to Ngannou parting ways with the promotion and vacating his heavyweight title. The vacant title fight will feature Jones and Ciryl Gane and it will take place at UFC 285 in March.

‘The Predator’s’ management played a key role in negotiations with the UFC. His manager, Marquel Martin, has been vocal about the UFC’s pay structure. Martin on a number of occasions said that the UFC needed to pay his client more. His comments irked Dana White, who said that the CAA combat sports agent “is full of s***”.

McGregor also believes that Ngannou’s management is at fault. Hours after the former champ’s exclusive interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour was broadcast, McGregor took to Instagram to give a piece of advice to the baddest man on the planet.

McGregor hasn’t fought since UFC 264, where he lost by a doctor’s stoppage after breaking his tibia seconds before the end of the first round. The Dublin native is hoping to make his return to the Octagon later this year, preferably at welterweight.

As far as Francis Ngannou is concerned, he is eyeing boxing super fights against Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury.
